Fu Cheong International Holdings Limited (delisted when it was 0916.HK) - the former Hong Kong main board listed company, founded in 1996 by former Hong Kong businessman He Yongchang inception, the main business in Hong Kong and printed circuit boards manufacturer.
The company suspended its trading from December 16, 2002. The reason was that former chairman Ho Yichang and former financial controller Chen Yongju were charged with conspiring to exaggerate the company and its subsidiary turnover to obtain listing qualifications, and forged the company’s subsidiary to sell the electronic parts to Yufeng. The transaction defrauded the bank of credit.
Fuchang case [ edit ]
During the period from October 1, 2000 to March 27, 2002, Li Congmou , He Yongchang , Chen Yongju , Guo Shuhua, and others defrauded the " SEHK ." Chen and Guo were the chief financial officer and director of the company at the time of the incident.
The court heard that they had forged sales invoices and accounting records in order to exaggerate the turnover and profit figures of “Fuchang” and its affiliates in the three financial years of 1998, 1999 and 2000 in order to comply with the “ Stock Exchange ” Listing rules.
They also submitted to the " Stock Exchange " documents containing exaggerated sales figures and profit figures and were therefore prosecuted by the Independent Commission Against Corruption .
On August 21, 2007, the court judge Ho Yongchang was jailed for 9 years. The former financial director Chen Yongju was sentenced to 8 years imprisonment. Former director Guo Shuhua was sentenced to 9 years and 6 months imprisonment. In addition He Zuochang and Guo Shuhua were banned from the company's directors for 10 years.
On February 20, 2008, Li Rongji , a certified public accountant, was also sentenced to 11 years’ imprisonment.
Delisting [ edit ]
In the end, the company failed to submit a resumption proposal to the HKEx and pursuant to Article 17 of the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited, the company was ruled to withdraw its listing at 9:30 a.m. on June 28, 2006. .
