National Day Cup [ edit ]
In the National Day Cup , the Hong Kong Jockey Club held a horse racing competition at the Sha Tin Racecourse to commemorate the National Day of the People's Republic of China . It is currently an international tri-level competition. The distance from 2000 to 2013 is 1,400 meters of grassland. The distance from 2014 to the present is 1000 meters of grassland, and the total prize money is now 3 million Hong Kong dollars.

In 1999, the Hong Kong Jockey Club's board of directors decided to hold the National Day Cup to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. It was fixed on October 1st at the Racecourse in Sha Tin. The first National Day Cup distance was 1,800 meters of Tiancao, and in 2000, it was awarded Upgraded to an elite class of 1,400 meters. At the same time, in 2004 and 2005, due to relocate short-distance Ma Jinbiao and Arc de Triomphe broadcast, broadcast outside October 1. In 2006, it was upgraded from elite class competition to Hong Kong level three. In 2014-15, the Ma season replaced the cancelled short-course championship in Sha Tin and the distance began to change to 1,000 meters. From 2016 to 2017, it has been upgraded to a level 3 competition and opened to overseas horses.
